By the time you read this we will be on our way to our second destination near Holt in Norfolk. I have had a great time over the last week. I decided to take some stamped images on holiday with me in the hope that there would be a decent table and decent light so I might indulge in one of my favourite past times :). I find it so relaxing and it takes me into another little world...heheheee. There is a great table in the kitchen which is right near the window and there are lots of inset halogen lights in the ceiling......perfect :)
I have only been stamping and colouring for a couple of years and started with a small collecton of Copics which I enjoyed using a lot I then bought some promarkers which also gave good results. The problem is I have not really got an idea about shading. As I started looking at more and more blogs I saw the fantastic results that had been achieved using Prisma Pencils and Polychromos. The lovely Kerry aka A Load of Old Pickle gave me some good advice on what she uses and so Mike investigated on Ebay and got me 36 Prisma Pencils to get me started. I also have a set of 36 Polychromos also off Ebay!!! I know I am still learning but I love the result that you can get with both types of pencil, the Polychromos being less waxy than the Prismas.
So to give you a sneaky peek this is what I have done so far!!!!
I think you can see a few favourites amongst the images. Not everyones idea of a great time but I love it and now I am looking forward to making them all into cards.
Thanks for popping over and hope you are all ok.
Hugs Sally xxx

Your colouring is lovely!! I use WHSmith watercolour pencils, but I am very very tempted to get some prisma's as the colours look so vivid.
ReplyDeleteI love colouring images too. It's a nice relaxing escape!
