Good evening to you all.....
I have been a busy been at work with lots of driving and no time for blogging or crafting :( But thought I would share my new love for wool and hooks!
I managed to make a blanket ....I Started off and just kept on going...it is kind of out of shape but not bad for a first attempt!
Since then I have been trying to find someone who lives near me who can crochet but to no avail..... There is however a sewing shop in Kenilworth that holds classes for crochet but they are usually on a Wednesday lunch time. I spotted on their last list of classes that they have started to hold a class every month on a Saturday morning!
I went along last Saturday and the teacher was great.....only 3 of us for the class so lots of time to spend with each of us. We practiced the basic stitches
Since then I have been following a YouTube video to make the squares above....easier than it looks to be honest.
So watch this space and hopefully I can make another blanket or at least a cushion cover! There are so many wonderful projects on Pinterest too......I think this is my new favourite thing!
Have a good evening and I will hopefully catch you all again soon.........I'm off to play with more wool and hooks :)
Hugs Sally xxx
How exciting - a new hobby! I'm really looking forward to seeing your crochet creations!
ReplyDeleteYour blanket looks lovely Sally...and just so you know I love crocheting! I'm not an expert but have self taught and try to do a little bit often to keep it in my head. Currently workinh on a huge chunky blanket for wintery snuggling!xx
ReplyDeleteGood for you Sally, looks great and I love your colour schemes! I learnt to crochet as a child,I wouldn't say I'm great at it but from time to time I like to get hooky, if only there were more hours in a day!
