CAS again.....

Hello to you all.
Hope you are all having a good week so far.

I had planned to share quite a few cards over the last few days but it hasn't really gone to plan.

Mike's eldest brother died suddenly last Wednesday from a heart problem which was a bit of a shock to say the least :(    It has put everything back into perspective again and hope that out of the sadness will come something positive and it will bring the rest of his family closer together :)    The funeral won't be until the New Year so just taking each day as it comes and being there for Mike and his family.

I did manage to put this super speedy CAS card together at the weekend for some inspiration for the Clean and Simple challenge at Ladybug Crafts Ink
I think it is almost too CAS!

The image is called All Lit Up and is perfect for any last minute cards as it is very quick to colour.   £1.75 from the Ladybug Crafts Ink online shop :)

Well I am off to Slimming World now to see if I have lost anymore weight if I have I will be a happy teddy :)

Catch you all soon.
Thanks for stopping by.

Sledging Buddies

Good morning blogging friends....
It's damp and cold and the perfect day to play in your craft room.
I was tempted to go to the NEC but I don't need any more crafty stash....most of my cards are so CAS these days that all I need is some card stock, ribbon, twine and my favourite pencils!   So watch this space as I think there could well be some blog candy appearing soon.

As I see from some of your posts we are all very busy and don't seem to have a lot of time for blogging and crafting these days....it is the same with me....I do have some cards to share though that I managed to make the other week.

I have used the very cute Sledging Buddies stamp from Lili of the Valley.

I used a blue and white check card stock to make the base.
The image is coloured with Polychromo pencils with stickles added.
Ribbon and twine from stash.

Another card to share made using A Star on Top...

I would like to enter a couple of challenges

Brown Sugar Challenge - Anything Goes

O Christmas Tree....

So many ideas and not enough time....... My head is full of ideas for Christmas cards but time is not on my side again :(
I have been struggling with digi images lately and the lines smudging when I colour with my Polychromo pencils.  The only thing I have changed is the card stock so I asked Uncle Google for some advice and the suggestion was to spray the image with a fixative before colouring it.   A cheaper alternative that was suggested as a fine spray of hair spray .............. well it seems to be working!

Here is the card that I experimented with yesterday..... The image is from Sassy Cheryls and is called Max's Charlie Brown Tree
The picture is not very good as it was getting late and ended up taking the photo in artificial light.

Coloured with Polychromo pencils blended with Sansador.
Sentiment - Computer generated.
Twine - from stash

I would like to enter the following challenge

Addicted to CAS - One layer cards

Thanks for popping by.
Hello to my lovely new followers....glad you could join me.
Have a great day.

***I don't know if anyone can help me but I have recently changed the cardstock I use to The Papermill direct but I am having problems colouring digi images as the lines just smudge.  Never had this problem at all before using my pencils on my previous card...love the card but very sad as I can't successfully colour any digis at the moment.....I am going to ask Uncle Google but if anyone has any tips or anything that I am completely missing please let me know :) ***

Thanks for popping over...hope you can join us for the challenge.

New Release at Ladybug Crafts Ink and a Blog Hop

Morning everyone,
Hope you are all well this morning.

I am here to share some news of another new release at Ladybug Crafts Ink.  I think you are going to love the new Skinny Malinky release.  To showcase the new release we are having a blog hop :)
So you should have arrived here from the very talented Rose  if not you can find the correct order on the main challenge blog     You need to collect a letter from each DT's blog and then spell out a word.  Once you have the word email your answer to ......... lcichallengeblog@aol.com

None of the DT have seen the collection, only the image that we have used for our cards so we are as excited as you.

I didn't have a huge amount of time to play and so came up with a very CAS card.....seems that this really is my style now.

So here is Hilary - Skinny Malinky.  She is available over at Ladybug Crafts Ink for £1.75. There are 6 new images released today and 6 more next Tuesday :)

So onto my card....
I coloured Hilary with Polychromo pencils and added some glitter.
Cut and matted using oval nesties.
Ruby Slipper Bazzil Basics cardstock.
Gorgeous red check ribbon is also from Ladybug Crafts Ink and you can see the details  here
Sentiment - Forever Friends

Next stop on the hop is the lovely and very talented Lyndsey
The letter you need from me is "i"

Thanks for popping over today.
Hope you can pop over and see what the rest of the DT came up with.

Less is More White on White Christmas

What a beautiful weekend we have had here in the UK..... it has been like a Summers day today :)

It has been so long since I entered a challenge but this week at Less is More inspired me to get cracking with some White on White Christmas cards.   I actually came up with 3 designs so thought I would enter one into the challenge.

Here it is ....... I think it's the same as everybody these cards are incredibly hard to photograph even in the beautiful weather.

A very simple card ..... the snowflake and stitched square dies were from Lil Inker.
The white card which is my favourite at the moment is from Paper Mill Direct.
The snowflake is finished off with a self adhesive gem.

Well that's all from me......I will try and get round to visit you but I just never seem to have enough hours in the day.

Enjoy your evening.......looking forward to the return of "Homeland " tonight :)

Winter Wonderland DT - Buttons and Bows

Morning everyone,
Its my turn to host the challenge over at Winter Wonderland this week and the theme is
Buttons and Bows

We are sponsored this week by Crafty Ribbons
They are offering some of their gorgeous new Christmas ribbons.

Now onto my card ......I have used the super cute Barkley from Crafters Companion for my card this week.

I have coloured the image with Polychromo pencils blended with Zest it.

Paper is from Nordic Christmas Pad - Papermania.  Its a great pad as it has some textured linen paper and this sheet is actually pearlescent which looks great in real life. You will have to take my word for it!
The Ribbon and twine was from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop before they closed down.
Buttons from stash.

Thanks for looking, hope you have been inspired to pop over and join us. Don't forget to see what the rest of the team came up with.
Have a good day.
