Warm Winter Wishes...

Hello to you all,
I sound like a worn out record but where does the time keep going to.....November already and Christmas just around the corner.  The year has absolutely flown by!

I have been lucky enough to have a play with the new Aqua tints from Spectrum Noir..........
They are really vibrant liquid watercolours that can be used for all sorts of techniques for backgrounds, mixed media etc..... But me being me I played it safe and used them to colour in my stamped images.   I am very impressed with the colours and the finished result.

Here is one of my all time favourite images from Forever Friends coloured using the Landscape and Bright & Beautiful range of tints.  The image was stamped onto water colour card.

Sentiment from Pink Petticoat,
Snowflake die - Lil Inkers
Notebook die - Memory box I think.....not 100%

Thanks for popping over today.
Have a good day.

Something New at Ready Teddy Go

Its been a while since you have seen me in blogland but I am back now.    Let me start by wishing you all  a very Happy New Year and hope its a happy and  healthy one for you and your families.

The moving house went really well, very smoothly in fact.   Crafting and blogging had to take a back seat for a while as we had a lot of sorting to do, we have been in our new house 7 weeks tomorrow and it definetely feels like home.......we love it.  The craft room was the last room on the list to get sorted but we are almost there.

So I am here today to tell you about a new challenge at Ready Teddy Go We want to see you create a card for

"Something New"

It could be a new home, new job or a new baby, etc.  Just make sure you use a bear or teddy bear as the main image or you we will not be able to keep your entry in the draw for the prize.  You can enter up to four times as long as you enter a new project each time.

This month's sponsor is My Mum's Craft Shop with a £10 voucher to spend in their shop.

My card is using a Forever FRiends stamp for a new baby....... coloured with Polychromo pencils.
All the other embellies are from my stash.  I have added liquid pearls to the background although I think I got a bit carried away with them!

Thanks for stopping by today, I will hopefully not be disappearing again for such a long time.

Enjoy your day and I look forward to visiting your blogs.

Christmas Card Club - Anything but a Card

Morning bloggers,
How are you all this morning...some not very happy from what I have been reading with new Blogger!!
It was a bit of a shock when mine changed the other night but I think I quite like it.  One thing that I really like is the new look reading list, I think it is a lot easier to see what everyone has been up to.  Yes it took a little bit of time to find a few things but I think I must be in the minority of people who like it!

Sorry I haven't been around over the weekend but just didn't feel like blogging.  I went to get my hair done on Saturday at Mum and Dad's and we had a lovely day.  We also got talking and reminiscing about when we were in California.....I was 10......hmmm quite a while ago then. Mum writes a diary everyday and has done pretty much since 1978and she leant me the diaries that she had kept for the two years we were over there so I have spent my weekend back in the lates 70's early 80's........

Anyway back to the Christmas Card Club, this is a group of us who make a crad every couple of weeks just for fun.  Check out what everyone came up with as they are listed on my sidebar  the lovely Clare challenged us to make Anything but a Card.... I used one of my favourite Forever Friends Christmas Stamps and made a picture.  Sorry for the poor photography......don't look too closely as you will see my reflection!!!
The image is coloured on Kraft with Polychromo and Prisma pencils. Paper from stash. Frame - Papermania.

Well thats all from me today.
I will be back tomorrow with another challenge at Ladybug Crafts Ink.
Hello to Shari my latest follower...glad you have joined me :)
Have a good day.

Happy Easter!

Heres a card that I have made to wish you all a Happy Easter

This is my second image coloured on Kraft and I am hooked! The Polychromos seem to work really well on the card as they are not as waxy as the Prisma pencils and blend really easily with the Sansador.
Paper from stash - reverted back to trying to use some scraps
Card Candi - Craftwork cards stamped with alphabet stamps from Craftwork cards.
Hope you have a lovely day whatever you do today.
Thanks for all your lovely comments they are always really appreciated.

Easter Bunny......First card coloured on Kraft card

Its looking dull here this morning.  I am hoping that it brightens up just a little bit as I have tidying and sorting of the garage with a few trips to the tip planned.  Mike is off today so I am going to make the most of him being around!! Hmmmm going to the tip on a Bank Holiday weekend is probably not the most sensible plan but it has to be done!

This is a card that I made for my best friend Robyn and her husband.
It is the first time I have coloured an image on Kraft and I have to say I coloured a couple more images yesterday so you will be seeing quite a lot more I think.  I found that the pencils blended really easily into the cardstock.

The image is from Forever Friends Springtime set along with the sentiment.
Seam binding, twine and button from stash.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges
Cute Card THursday - I want Candy - I hope this is enough candy girls if not then please
ignore it
Crafts 4 Eternity - Bunnies and Chicks
Dilly Beans - Easter Spring

Raise the Bar - Cutesy Easter/Spring

Before I go and make a start I just need to tell you that there is 1/2 price sale on all cling stamps at Ladybug Crafts Ink .  You have until 17th April to grab a bargain.

Hope you all have a good day.
Hello to my new followers, glad you are here.

Christmas Card Club - Teddy Bear

The lovely Pinky set the challenge for the last fortnight and asked us to include a Teddy Bear on our design.  Perfect for me as I have a soft spot for the cute bears.  For this card it had to be Forever Friends making their Christmas Pudding.....

The image was again coloured with Promarkers for the main colour of the bears (Ivory Promarker) and then I used Prisma Pencils for the rest of it and of course a touch of Stickles.
The paper is some that I have had for ages. (I am trying to use up some of my scraps!)
Ribbon from StashAnother simple card.
Dont forget to check out what the other girls have created.
They are all listed on the side bar.

Christmas Card Club

Where did those two weeks go.......I have been back off holiday for two weeks already and feel like I need another one!!!
So for the Christmas Card Club this time we had the challenge of not using any patterned papers which was set by the lovely Lizzie . I loved this challenge and actually made a couple of cards both using Forever Friends images.  Check out the rest of the girls creations this week, the are listed on my sidebar.

The first one is the cute Forever Friends Bear with his mug of Hot Chocolate....aaaaawwww.Coloured with Prisma Pencils.
I have created an embossed background for this one and finished off with some stitched ribbon.......another simple card.

The second one is Forever Friends Bear as an Angel.
I stamped this one directly onto the card and coloured with Prisma Pencils.  I love that you can do this with Prismas and it doesn't show through the card like it does when you use alcohol based pens.  This one is finished off with Forever Friends sentiment and Stickles for added sparkle.

I would like to join in the Christmas in June Challenge at Ladybug Crafts Ink with these cards.  Also don't forget to check out the new releases that the super talented Kerry has released for Christmas and they have a bloghop going on as well.
I would also like to enter
Creative Craft World challenge - Christmas in June
For Fun Challenges - Christmas
The Stamping Boutique - No Design Papers
Hope you have a good day.
See you all soon.
